ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

Outside there may be snow on the ground and a temperature trapped well below the freezing mark.

But the first signs of spring can be seen at Busch Stadium where workers have packed up the St. Louis Cardinals' gear for shipment to Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla.

Spring training officially opens Feb. 12 -- just five days away -- when pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp.
