Sweet Wines

When: 3-4:30 pm Saturday

Where: Eckert's Country Store, 951 S. Greenmount Road, Belleville

Cost: $15

Features: Taste and learn about sweet and semi-sweet wines made from grapes and other fruits. Pair a bite of food with each wine so you can fully appreciate it. This is the perfect class for the beginning wine drinker or the sweet wine lover.

Wine Tasting

What: Complimentary sampling of 16 wines: seven reds, seven whites, a sparkling wine and a dessert wine.

When: 1-5 p.m. Saturday

Where: Cheesekeeper, 6500 W. Main St., Belleville; 618-398-7184.

Features: Certified sommelier Annie McDonnell, of Southern Starz, a southern hemisphere wine importer, will be pouring wines from Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. All wines featured are 15 percent off the regular price, day of tasting only.

Mexican Fiesta

What: Lunch and Learn class

When: Noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 19

Features: Enjoy a variety of Mexican-themed dishes being made. Start off by chopping tomatoes for salsa, then enjoy a delicious Southwestern vegetable soup, chicken fajitas and, for dessert, cinnamon custard.
