Can't take any more cold? Warmer weather is on the way

News-DemocratFebruary 11, 2014

The high temperature Tuesday will remain stuck in the teens, but warmer weather is on the way for later in the week.

The temperature was minus-1 at sunrise Tuesday and is only expected to make it to a high of 19 under sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight the mercury will drop back down to 7.

On Wednesday the high will climb to 30 and skies will be partly sunny. The low will be 16.

The high will crack the freezing mark Thursday, rising all the way to 42 and causing the cover of snow on the ground to finally start to melt.

On Friday the high will be 40 with a 30 percent chance of light snow early that will turn to rain later in the day.
