Police: Armed man robs Highland bank

An man armed with a handgun stole money from a Highland bank ATM as an employee was attending to the machine outside the bank Friday morning, police said.

The robbery took place about 8:30 a.m. at the Bradford National Bank at 1100 Mercantile Drive. The female employee was not injured.

The suspect took a container that had an undisclosed amount of cash in it.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet, 1 inch tall with a slender build in his 20s or 30s. He was wearing a black and white camouflage scarf across his face, as well as a black baseball cap, a dark jacket and dark pants.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Police said the suspect may have used a late model blue car.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are cooperating in the investigation.
