Blame misdirected at the GOP

February 17, 2014

I am getting so tired of everyone who wants to blame Republicans for things going on. For instance, a recent woman writer mentioned that Republicans are not doing anything toward immigration; in a sense, Republicans are in their offices just sitting on their hands. That can't be further from the truth.

Republicans are doing many things: coming up with plans that would do well for immigration and health care. But Democrats and the president are not willing to hear us out. They are thinking: "Why should we hear them out? Their plan will not work no matter what it is. The only one that will work is ours."

President Obama and some Democrats claim they are willing to work with Republicans, but when it comes right down to it, they are not. It looks like all Democrats are the same way. No matter what the plans are, if it comes from a Republican, it's no good.

If you decide that without even listening to the plan, how do you know it's not good? How is that willingness to work with Republicans when you won't even listen to any ideas?

Stop blaming us for everything wrong with Congress. It's about time some Democrats take some of the responsibility if they are not willing to even consider what is put out there by Republicans.
