News-DemocratFebruary 18, 2014

If metro-east residents didn't like the weather Monday, they're in luck Tuesday.

A day after they fought icy roads and sleet on their way to work, they'll be treated to unseasonably warm weather and sunny skies on Tuesday.

The high temperature will reach 66 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday night the low will drop to 33. But the temperature will be back above normal Wednesday at 52 under mostly sunny skies. The average high temperature for mid February in the St. Louis area is 47 degrees.

On Wednesday night the low will be 43.

A 90 percent chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast Thursday with a slight chance of severe weather. The high is expected to reach 61.
