Power restored in O'Fallon; truck crash caused afternoon outages

Power was restored just after 3 p.m. Tuesday to about 1,150 O'Fallon residents and O'Fallon Township High School after a semi truck ran in to a utility pole and took down two others on East Highway 50 in O'Fallon.

Ameren Illinois spokesman Brian Bretsch said the utility company's crew restored power and were repairing the three poles.

The accident happened about 1:30 p.m. in the 900 block of East Highway 50 and at the intersection of Timber Creek. No one was injured in the accident.
