News-DemocratFebruary 26, 2014

A Cahokia man is facing drug and weapons charges following a search of his home earlier this week.

Raymond H. Leslie, 48, was charged Wednesday by St. Clair County State's Attorney Brendan Kelly's Office with aggravated possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamines and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

Members of the St. Clair County Sheriff Drug Tactical Unit, St. Clair County Special Response Team and Cahokia Police Department executed a search warrant at 850 Jerome Lane in Cahokia Tuesday. The Sheriff's Drug Tactical Unit has been investigating illegal drug sales and possible methamphetamine manufacturing at this residence for several months.

Leslie, who was arrested at the residence Tuesday, is being held in St. Clair County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail.
