HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett's office says his hernia surgery went well and he's resumed his role and powers as governor.
Press secretary Jay Pagni said Thursday morning that Corbett was out of Allegheny General Hospital and on his way home to Shaler to recuperate.
Pagni says the transfer of power to Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley lasted from 7:10 a.m. to 8:35 a.m., while Corbett was under general anesthesia.
Pagni says Corbett "was in great spirits" as he left the hospital.
