Coming Sunday: Belleville's 200th, a TV dad, sports and money-saving coupons

News-DemocratFebruary 28, 2014

Get your Sunday print copy of the Belleville News-Democrat for a great mix of local news, features and sports.

• We'll have an A1 interview with Jerry Turner about the city of Belleville and how it's changed — and hasn't changed -- in the half-century he's lived here. "I thought it was a great place to raise a family then and I think it’s a great place to raise a family now," Turner says in the first of a number of in-depth interviews we'll have chronicling Belleville's Bicentennial in 2014.

• BND Magazine tells the story of a New Baden father who has won a regular spot on a cable network for kids. And we were on hand -- no big shoe jokes, please -- when a convention of clowns came to Fairview Heights recently.

• Our sports staff will report on SWIC and SIUE men's basketball games, and have the latest on Cahokia's trip to the team wrestling tournament.

• In addition, we'll have more than $350 in money-saving coupons inside the paper.
