Two Granite City children were killed and an adult seriously injured over the weekend as the result of a crash in Jefferson County, Mo.

Bryliegh N. Greene, 4, and Ethan J. Price, 11, died when a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Theresa A. Godwin, 30, turned in front of a 1997 Dodge pickup truck on State Route A at Old State Route A near Festus, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.

The collision, which happened at 4:48 p.m. Saturday, caused the Cavalier to veer off the roadway and the eastbound truck to come to a stop in the westbound lanes of the highway.

Godwin, also of Granite City, was taken to Mercy Jefferson Hospital where she was listed in serious condition.

The driver of the pickup, Steven B. Galvin, 52, of Hillsboro, Mo., suffered minor injuries, according to police reports. Cynthia E. Gavin, a passenger in the truck, was hospitalized with what police called moderate injuries.
