Expect bridge work near Lebanon

News-DemocratMarch 3, 2014

The bridge carrying U.S. Route 50 over Little Silver Creek will undergo repairs this year.

Illinois Department of Transportation's Tim Krumm called it a small job, expected to last two to three months.

IDOT is accepting bids for the job now, and the project is worth an estimated $240,000.

The bridge east of Lebanon is scheduled to have the driving surface and expansion joints replaced, as well as work to prevent erosion in the stream.

Drivers can expect lane restrictions during the work, which should start in the late spring or early summer.
