Kent and Marilee Black of Belleville celebrated their 50th anniversary on February 22, 2014 with a dinner party at Andrea’s Restaurant with immediate Family and Bridal attendants Diane Knipp and Judith Wallin given by children Cheryl Corso and Scott Black.

Kent and the former Marilee Boeving were married on February 22, 1964 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Illinois by Rev.John C. Riggs.

Kent is self-employed by Kent J. Black Insurance Agency, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplements and is an active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and Belleville Exchange Club.

Marilee was a secretary when the Belleville Barber College first opened in 1960 for her father, Cornelius Boeving, retiring after 35 years and is an active member of St.Paul United Church of Christ and Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

They have three children: Todd K. (Kym) Black, of Brandon, MS. Scott A. Black, (Kathy Williams) of O’Fallon, IL. Cheryl L. (Ellis Jr.) Corso, of O’Fallon, IL. They have five grandchildren: Codie and Hayden Black, Leah and Alyssa Corso (twins), and Kyle Black.
