Construction update: Work planned on area roads

A weekly listing of road construction in St. Clair, Madison and Monroe counties and in the St. Louis area.


Interstate 270, Granite City, between Chain of Rocks Canal and the Mississippi River, westbound lane closed 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, weather permitting.

Interstate 270, Granite City, eastbound and westbound between Chain of Rocks Canal to Illinois 3, lane restrictions through July 31.

Interstate 270 near Pontoon Beach, eastbound and westbound between Illinois 3 and Interstate 55, lane restrictions through August 1.

Interstate 255 near Collinsville between Collinsville Road and Horse Shoe Lake Road, lane restrictions through May 30.

Interstate 255 near Caseyvill between mile posts 19 and 20, lane restrictions until June 1.

South Belt West, Belleville, closed from Gerri Ann Drive to Guetterman Drive through May 15.

Illinois 15 at Illinois 158, Belleville, westbound ramps onto Illinois 15 closed.

Illinois 15 near Belleville, from Illinois 159 to Greenmount Road, lane restrictions through 2014.

Fairmont Avenue Bridge over Interstate 55/70, Collinsville, is closed through 2014.

Renken Road near Prairietown to IL 159, lane restrictions through June 1.

State Road 3 near Waterloo, lane restrictions from South Market Street to North Market Street through 2016.


Interstate 64: Closed between Kingshighway and Forest Park Avenue until 3 a.m. Monday. Ramps from McCausland, Skinker, Hampton, Kingshighway and Papin to eastbound I-64 will be closed.

Tower Grove and Boyle will remain closed over the interstate until bridge work is complete in mid-June. Detours are available at Taylor and Newstead.

I-44, St. Louis City, Walnut over I-70 is closed until April.

I-64, St. Louis City, the Vandeventer ramp to westbound I-64 is closed until spring 2014.

I-64, St. Louis City, the eastbound I-64 exit ramp to Vandeventer is closed until spring 2014.

I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 8-March 12, one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Walnut.
