Metro-east residents will finally be treated to a spring-like day Friday.
After two weeks of temperatures well below the seasonal average high, the temperature will peak at 59 degrees Friday afternoon -- seven degrees higher than the average temperature for March 7 in the area.
But wintry weather isn't gone from the area for good.
The Saturday forecast calls for a high of 47 and a 50 percent chance of rain during the daytime hours. On Saturday night, as the temperature drops toward a low of 26, those raindrops could turn into snowflakes.
The high Sunday is expected to be 52. Temperatures are expected to reach highs in the low to mid 60s by early next week.
