A Highland man convicted in federal court with the molestation of three of his martial arts students was sentenced to 90 years in prison on Friday.

Christopher M. Horton, 20, was charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count attempted sexual exploitation of a child.

Horton provided martial arts lessons to his victims at a Belleville studio, the Three Tigers Martial Arts at 2630 Mascoutah Ave. in Belleville. After a witness discovered a video of Horton engaged in a sex act with a minor, police questioned him, according to court records. Horton admitted that over the past year he committed sex acts upon the students, aged 6, 8 and 10. He also admitted to recording these acts on his iPhone.

Horton pleaded guilty to the charges in October.

U.S. District Chief Judge David Herndon sentenced Horton on Friday.

Horton will be on supervised release for the rest of his life after his release. He was ordered to pay $3,250 in restitution and a special assessment of $600.
