What qualifies you for this position?

I've been in law enforcement for 28 years serving as a probation officer, at the Sheriff's Office as a patrolman, detective, chief of detectives and chief deputy sheriff earning the rank of major and am now police chief of Glen Carbon. I also served on the Major Case Squad investigating high-profile cases and now serve on their board.

What is the top issue in this race and how would you address it?

The Sheriff's Office is suffering because of the failures of leadership by Bob Hertz. The scandals and lawsuits are a distraction and embarrassment. If elected, I will ensure the men and women of this department have the kind of professional workplace and leadership where they can do what they have sworn to do -- protect the citizens of Madison County.
