News-DemocratMarch 14, 2014

Police are offering a $500 reward for information that leads to an arrest of the armed person who robbed a gas station Thursday in Shiloh.

The robbery happened about 11 p.m. at Midwest Petroleum, 1551 Hartman Lane. The suspect is believed to have displayed a handgun, Shiloh Police Sgt. Kyle Bade said.

Police believe the suspect was involved in a previous armed robbery of the same business in December.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds, with a slender build.

The suspect was wearing khaki pants, a black in color Navy-type petty coat with a dark hooded sweatshirt underneath, light gray gloves, a black stocking cap made into a ski and blue and white in color Nike CB34 tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Jesse Phillips or Bade at the Shiloh Police Department by calling 624-9047.
