Forward prospect Zach Pochiro and defense prospect Thomas Vannelli were signed to entry-level contracts this week by the St. Louis Blues.

On Monday, the Blues signed the 19-year-old Vannelli, a product of Minnetonka, Minn. The offensive defenseman was their second-round pick (47th overall) in the 2013 draft.

Vannelli has 14 goals and 41 points in 59 games for the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers. He also is second on the team with nine power-play goals.
