The gates will open at 7 p.m. The outdoor theater is entering its 65th season and has been screening films in Belleville since 1949.

John Eichenlaub, of BarberMurphy Group in Shiloh, says a couple of metro-east e-cigarette retailers in Collinsville are on the move. C&M E-Cigs & Vapors has moved from 108 E. Main St. to 607 Vandalia St., Suite 100. Pauly's E-Cig & Vapor Shop at 1309 Vandalia St., Suite A, plans to relocate to 4019 N. Illinois St., Suite 300.
Sports Authority in Fairview Heights has reopened at Fairview City Centre in town. A grand opening is planned for Saturday. The sporting goods retailer is has moved from Fairview Heights Plaza on Ludwig Drive to the Fairview City Centre on the northwest corner of Illinois 159 and Lincoln Trail. The shopping center is being redeveloped and already home to Petco and Office Max. More development is coming soon there with the construction of Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, an organic grocery store, and home furnishing retailer HomeGoods.

Sears Outlet in Fairview Heights will host a grand opening Friday through Sunday. The store signed a 10-year lease last year and opened last January to Fairview Heights Plaza at 55 Ludwig Drive. The 30,700-square-foot space initially was built for Circuit City, which closed in 2009, after the electronics store chain filed for bankruptcy in November 2008. The grand opening festivities include a cookout with proceeds to benefit the Spencer Kennel Animal Shelter in O'Fallon.
Steamboat Biscuit & Brisket in New Athens will host a grand opening Sunday with a "Whole Hog Brunch." The eatery at 508 S. Benton St. opened last December ad specializes in barbecued ribs, brisket, sandwiches and more. Call the restaurant at 618-475-9377 to find out more.
And finally, Schnucks is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a celebration planned this weekend at the grocery china's Swansea store. On Saturday and Sunday, the store at 2665 N. Illinois St. is turning back the clock by redecorating the front foyer and produce department as an old retro grocery store to show customers what Schnucks looked like in 1939, the year it open for business. Three old trucks dating back to the 1930s will be parked outside and a barber shop quartet will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.
