Firefighters battle blaze at Centreville home

Firefighters were called to Centreville early Tuesday to battle a blaze in a home.

The call, which went out to the Camp Jackson, Midway and Golden Gardens fire departments, came at 6:35 a.m. Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of North 76th Street.

According to firefighters, the home was occupied at the time the fire started. But it is believed the residents were able to escape.
