Police cited a Belleville man for running a red light Tuesday after a three-vehicle crash downtown.

A southbound Illinois 159 van, with a DirecTV logo, ran a red light and hit a limo that was eastbound on Washington Street, according to Belleville Police Capt. Don Sax. A third vehicle, a truck, was damaged in the crash.

Officers issued a ticket to Jeremy K. Holle, 31, for disobeying a traffic control device, Sax said.

Emergency workers responded to the scene about 1:15 p.m.

Sax said the limo driver reported an injury but he did not know if the driver went to the hospital.

An occupant of the truck reported an injury but refused treatment at the scene, Sax added.
