Let's move beyond the blame game

March 25, 2014

It seems many letters continue to play the blame game. It makes me wonder what would happen if we worked together to find solutions instead of finding a villain to point fingers at.

I had as much disdain for the last Republican president as many people have for this Democratic president but I strongly supported this country. We do have term limits on the president, so it seems we should work to find common ground to improve our union.

Acknowledging the problem is the first step in striving for a more perfect union. Working together to find solutions is essential to ensuring prosperity for all Americans from the junkie to the corporate magnate.

The United States is a great country that I've learned to love despite its deficiencies.

Even with a strong dislike for the current administration, we should have faith in our country -- warts and all.

I hope we can learn to support our country and fellow citizens, despite our differences. Is that not what being united is all about?
