Long wait for opening of Ballpark Village is over

News-DemocratMarch 27, 2014

Cardinal fans can celebrate another home opener this year.

Ballpark Village officially opened to the public Thursday night and the Budweiser Brew House and The Drunken Fish will begin serving lunch at 11 a.m. Friday.

The retail, restaurant and entertainment venue covers 10 acres and seven city blocks just beyond left field and across Clark Street from Busch Stadium. Other areas within the building, such as Cardinals Nation Restaurant and the Cardinals Hall of Fame, will open to the public when the Cardinals open their season at home April 7. The new 330 roof-top seats that overlook the entire field from Ballpark Village also will open for the first time that day.
