Firefighters battle blaze at Lebanon construction business

Firefighters on Monday morning were battling a blaze at Wendell Johnson Construction in Lebanon.

The call came at about 10:30 a.m.that there was a fire at the business near the corner of East McAllister and South Herman streets. Firefighters from the Lebanon, O'Fallon, Mascoutah and Emerald Mound departments responded.

A metal shed, a motor home parked on the property and other materials stored in the yard burned.

By 11:30 a.m. Monday the fire was out and firefighters were extinguishing hot spots.
