Propane truck crash near Highland closes roadway for two hours

No one was injured when a propane truck overturned near Highland Thursday.

Marine Fire Department Chief Keith Alldredge said a propane truck overturned on Lower Marine Road at Route 143 at approximately 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

It's unclear what caused the truck to overturn, though heavy rain moved through the metro-east area Thursday morning.

An evacuation of the area was not necessary, Alldredge said, because nothing was leaking out of the vehicle.

Lower Marine Road was closed in both directions for approximately two hours.
