Patrick and Donna McAndrews of Fairview Heights celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 4th with a dinner at Fischer’s Restaurant where they met 51 years ago. Patrick and the former Donna Smith were married on April 4th at St. Phillips Church in East St. Louis by Reverend Joseph Hansmann.

Patrick is retired from Pontiac William Holliday District 105 and was the owner and operator of Belle Clair Auto Body in Belleville for 25 years. He is a ‘59 graduate of San Diego High and a veteran of the US Air Force. He is the past Commander of VFW Post 8677 in Fairview Heights, IL and is active in the Ainad Color Guard.

Donna is retired from Signal Hill School District 181. She is a ‘63 graduate of ESTL Senior High and has worked in child care for the past 22 years with La Petite Day Care and Signal Hill School. She is President of the Fairview Heights Homecoming and has volunteered with the homecoming for the past 33 years.

They have two children: Kimberly (Mark) Thompson of New Baden, IL and Kendra McAndrews of Millstadt, IL. They have two grandchildren: Hayley and Brenden Thompson of New Baden, IL.

They will be celebrating their anniversary with a party for family and friends at Longacre Park on June 14th, 2014.
