More rain Tuesday, still cool -- and cold overnight

A 30 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms is in the forecast for Tuesday with the most likely chance of rain coming after 1 p.m.

The high temperature is expected to reach 60 degrees in the metro-east, according to the National Weather Service. That's about five degrees lower than the average high for this time of year.

Overnight the low will drop to 36 degrees.

On Wednesday a warming trend will start, while the pattern of rainy weather that has soaked the area for the last week will be broken.

It will be sunny with a high temperature of 66 Wednesday. Thursday should be 75 under mostly sunny skies.
