If you're planning to head west this weekend, you might want to avoid Interstate 64.

All westbound lanes of the interstate will be closed Friday at 9 p.m. between Forest Park Avenue and Kingshighway, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The ramps from Grand Avenue and Market Street to westbound I-64 will also be closed so workers can set girders for the Tower Grove and Boyle bridges.

All lanes and ramps are expected to reopen by 9 a.m. Saturday.

To detour around the closure: Use the Forest Park Avenue exit (exit 38A) and follow Forest Park Avenue to Kingshighway. After turning left onto Kingshighway, follow Kingshighway back to the interstate.
