You can now order your St. Clair County birth, death and marriage certificates online, according to St. Clair County Clerk Tom Holbrook.

"Consumers can still visit or call and mail our office to obtain these documents," Holbrook said.

The Clerk's Office has partnered with Lexis Nexis VitalChek Network to provide an easy way to order county records. The county is the 24th in the state, along with the state's Office of Vital Records to partner with VitalChek.

Placing an order typically takes about 10 minutes and customers will need to pay a processing fee along with the current fee from St. Clair County. The Clerk's Office does not receive any added fees from customers using VitalChek.

To order records, visit the St. Clair County Clerk's website at www.countyclerk.co.st-clair.il.us and click on the "Vital Records" tab or visit the website www.vitalchek.com.
