Free medical services offered this weekend in East St. Louis

The Remote Area Medical Health Clinic is coming to the city of East St. Louis Friday through Sunday.

Free medical, dental and vision examinations will be given from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a first come, first served basis for 500 people each day. The event will be at Jackie Joyner Kersee Center, 101 Jackie Joyner-Kersee Circle Drive.

Adults and children will be able to receive the following:

Dental: cleanings, fillings and extractions;

Vision: eye exams with prescription glasses made onsite;

Medical: diabetes care, wound care and women's health;

Mammograms: up to 200 mammograms for qualifying participants.

Free services will be provided to all.

Participants should plan accordingly, as wait times could be five or more hours, and bring food and medications with them.
