Bailey picks up his first feature win at Belle-Clair

In an action-packed UMP Late Model main event last Friday at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, it took a disqualification to give Matt Bailey his first feature win in on his second race at the track.

Bailey was followed by Rick Salter, Andrew Johns, Mike Hammerle and Greg Kimmons.

Ryan Little, last week's feature winner, made it into Turn 1 and his car wound up on its roof. On Lap 10, Little's bother, Jake Little, hit the gate in Turn 1 while in second place.

Dewayne Kiefer took the checkered flag, but his car was declared light and his disqualification gave the win to Bailey.

Rusty Griffaw picked up his first feature win this season in UMP Modifieds.

Marc McClintock won the Pure Stocks feature

Friday is the Aaron's Lucky Dog Challenge for Pure Stocks and Pro 4 Stocks with added featured laps and an increased purse.

Highland Speedway

Daryn Klein was the UMP Late Model feature winner last Saturday at Highland Speedway while Mike Harrison took the checkered flag in the UMP Steve Schmitt Modifieds feature.

T.J. Eilers won in UMP Sport Mods.

Saturday is Greg McCray Memorial Night at the track along with the Kids Dash for Cash.

McCrary loved racing, especially the Modifieds division and his family has gathered donations to increase the Modified payout for Saturday's feature.

Tri-City Speedway

Randy Korte won the UMP DIRTcar Late Model feature last Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach as he held off Rickey Frankel.

NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace powered under early leader Michael Long and went on to win the UMP DIRTcar Modified feature.

Adam Gates led all 20 laps to win the $1,000 payday in the 4-Cylinder Factory Stocks division.

Kolby Vandenbergh won his first UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Model event and Dan Pilkington won the Street Stock feature.

Tri-City hosts the $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series on Friday featuring the Lucas Oil Spring Spectacular. In addition there are UMP Modifieds running for $1,000 to win and UMP Pro-Crate L/M's running for $700 to win.
