Give Minnesota a closer look

May 5, 2014

Responding to Joseph Reichert's letter April 27, "Winter isn't fun anymore." I encourage him to visit Minnesota some time. It is where I was born and raised mostly.

If he doesn't like the snow then he should go in the summer and fish in the land of 10,000 lakes. The fish, walleye, are the best eating.

Lake Superior has the longest shoreline in the world. Duluth is beautiful and all the lighthouses are nice.

Many famous people have came from Minnesota. If people like the outdoors, then Minnesota is the state for them.

The largest mall in the world is in Minnesota. There is something for everyone.

I recommend going in the winter to a cabin to snow mobile, or rent an ice house to fish. So whatever his niche is, I'm sure Minnesota will have it. After all, Laura Ingalls Wilder was from Minnesota.
