East St. Louis will hold block party Saturday

May 9, 2014

East St. Louis will hold a citywide block party from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Lincoln Park.

It will include food, music, children's activities and giveaways.

You can bring your leashed dog, also. The first 100 residents with leashed dogs will receive free rabies shots and microchips, thanks to Gateway Pet Guardians. Gateway will have a large tent with pet registration, plus free dog and car food, treats, training advice and more.

The family community event is sponsored by the City of East St. Louis, East St. Louis Park District and Clear Channel Radio.
