Senior Celebration

PSOP (Programs & Services for Older Persons) in Belleville held their annual Senior Celebration on Friday. They had a German-themed lunch, and celebrated the 40th anniversary of PSOP and Belleville's 200th anniversary together. The RSVP Country Western Band provided music for dancing, and a balloon artist from Way Cool Balloons twisted together balloon creatures to hand out to the seniors. There was also an unveiling of a plaque of former St. Clair County Sheriff Mearl Justus, who created several programs specifically to watch over and help senior citizens, There were also attendance prizes that were given out to lucky seniors.
