Rain remains in forecast through Thursday

An uncomfortable, misty rain kept the metro-east wet Tuesday afternoon and is expected to be a nuisance throughout the evening hours with a 60 percent chance of scattered showers.

A 40 percent chance of rain is in the forecast overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, when the low will drop to 50, according to the National Weather Service.

A 70 percent chance of rain is predicted for Thursday with a high of 57 degrees. That's 17 degrees cooler than the typical high this time of year. The low will be 44 overnight.
