ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

TUESDAY, MAY 6

Rafael Ochoa, 18, of 510 Bernice St., Collinsville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon on or about May 4 by St. Clair County sheriff. Ochoa allegedly, a person who has been convicted of a felony under the law of the state of Illinois, knowingly possessed in a vehicle a .40 caliber handgun. Defendant had been previously convicted of Mob Action on Nov. 29, 2012.

Stephon T. Powell, 22, of 804 N. 86th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of seven counts of aggravated battery on or about May 8 by East St. Louis police. Powell allegedly, in committing a battery, knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Khadijah Moore, a pregnant person, inthat he punched Moore in the stomach; while on North 86th St., East St. Louis, a public way, knowingly made physical contact with Khadijah Moore, in that he punched him in the stomach; struck her in the face; struck her in the face in a public way; slapped her on her lips; slapped her in her lips in a public way; punched her in the face.

Jylon D. Spraggins, 22, of 849 N. 74th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of manuifacturing and delivery of cannabis, reckless discharge of a firearm on or about May 3 by East St. Louis police. Spraggins allegedly, possessed with theintent to deliver more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis; endangered the safety of Deantonio Best in that, while acting in a reckless manner, discharged a firearm, a black 9mm SCCY Model CPX-2 handgun, and in so doing discharged the gun in close proximity to Deantonio Best; knowingly carried on his person a 9mm SCCY Model CPX-2 handgun at a time when he was not on hiw own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, and said defendant was in engaged in a misdemeanor violation of the cannabis control act.

Stephon T. Powell, 22, of 805 N. 86th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of arson and resisting a police officer on or about Marcy 6 by Washington Park police. Powell allegedly, by means of fire or explosive, knowingly damaged property of Khadijah Moore, a vehicle and garage located at 1338 N. 53rd St., Washington Park, having a value of $150 or more; knowingly resisted the performance of James Boyd, of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Stephon Powell, knowing james Boyd to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he ran from James Boyd.

Charles Sanders Jr., 36, of 1247 N. South Road B, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on or about May 5 by Fairview Heights police. Sanders allegedly, took merchandise from J.C. Penney, 245 St. Clair Square, Fairview Heights, being Nike brand t-shirts, shorts, LEvi brand jeans and other merchandise, total retail value in excess of $300.

Dale Sauls, 53, of 13 Kingsbury Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while driver's license is revoked on or about March 3 by Freeburg police. Sauls allegedly, drove a white 2006 Ford Mustang on South State Street in Freeburg, while there was an amount of a drug, substance or compound in his breath, blood, or urine resulting from the unlawful use or consumption of codeine and during aperiod in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked.

Robert A. Steele, 59, of 810 S. 20th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on or about May 4 by East St. Louis police. Steele allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of Avery Bolden, located at 430 N. 25th St., East St. Louis, with the intent to commit theft therein.

Adrian D. Hoyle, 25, of 1737 Loretta Ave., Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or abour May 5 by Cahokia police. Hoyle allegedly, took merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1511 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, being five DVDs, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Theft on July 6, 2012.

Juan M. Sifuentes, 31, of 823 18th Row, Smithboro, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about May 5 by O'Fallon police. Sifuentes allegedly, took merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1530 W. Highway 50, O'Fallon, being charcoal, bird seed, cheese and other merchandise, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been convicted of Theft on Feb. 20, 2007.

James E. Branson, 23, of 1113 SE 2nd St., Crystal River, Fla., arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about May 5 by Belleville police. Branson allegedly, had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7

Edward T. Williams, 38, of 4304 Walnut Ave., Alorton, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon on or about May 4 by Alorton police. Williams allegedly, a person who has been convicted of a felony, knowingly possessed in a vehicle a .32 caliber. Defendant had been previously convicted of Aggravated Criminal Dexual Assault on Dec. 2, 1996.

Cle G. Dixon, 35, of 15 N. 98th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault on or about May 4 by Alorton police. Dixon allegedly, carried on his person a .32 caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business; knowingly used a deadly weapon by pointing a handgun at Stacey Cullum, thereby placing Stacey Cullum in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery. The defendant had not been issued a current, valid FOID Card.

Maurice J. Hicks, 40, of 1108 Richard Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of driving while driver's license is revoked, subsequent on or about May 5 by St. Clair County sheriff. Hicks allegedly, drove a white 2008 Pontiac on State Street in East St. Louis, at a time when defendant's driver's license was revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of Driving While LIcense is Revoked on Jan. 17, 2007.

Horatio A. Sumrall Jr., 24, of 1617 Market Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and obstructing identification on or abour April 6 by East St. Louis police. Sumrall allegedly, had in his possession a substance containing alprazolam; furnished a false name to Leland Cherry, a peace officer, who has lawfully detained said defendant.

Matthew J. Gendron, 25, of 1002 N. Lincoln Ave., O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of harassment of a witness, violation order of protection and pone harassment from between March 28 and May 4 by Fairview Heights police. Gendron allegedly, with the intent to harass or annoy Rebecca Stetzen, who may be expected to serve as a witness in a pending legal proceeding, because of the potential testimony of the witness, made repeated telephone calls to Rebecca Stetzen in such manner as to produce mental anguish or emotional distress; having been served with an order of protection, did knowingly commit an act which was prohibited by the order in that said defendant repeatedly made telephone calls to Rebecca Stetzen, a protected party; knowingly caused the telephone of another, Rebecca Stetzen, repeatedly to ring, with the intent to harass Rebecca Stetzen.
