Rain hits Belleville; threat of thunderstorms through evening

Strong rain hit downtown Belleville about 4 p.m. Thursday as the metro-east remained under a hazardous weather outlook.

The hazardous weather outlook warned of scattered thunderstorms through Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service. Small hail and occasional gusty winds are likely; isolated strong storms may produce hail up to 1 inch.

The high temperature for Thursday was 62.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely before 10 p.m.

The chance of rain will decrease to 40 percent overnight, when the low will drop down to 38.

On Friday the high will be 59 and an evening low of 39 with a slight chance of showers.

The skies will be mostly sunny Saturday a high of 64. On Sunday, skies will be sunny with a high of 69.
