Man injured in O'Fallon shed fire

— A man was seriously hurt in a shed fire in O'Fallon Thursday afternoon.

O'Fallon firefighters were called to 112 Douglas Ave. at 2:21 p.m. on reports of a shed on fire. The fire was quickly put out and paramedics transported the man to a hospital for treatment of burns, according to Capt. Tim Claxton of the O'Fallon Fire Department.

Claxton said he did not know the man's name or if the man lived at the residence where the fire took place. The cause of the fire was being investigated by the Illinois State Fire Marshal and the O'Fallon Police Department.

It was not known if anyone witnessed the incident, Claxton said.
