Food pantries filled again

May 16, 2014

The Fairview Heights Area Food Pantry was once again a grateful recipient of food from the annual Letter Carrier "Stamp Our Hunger" food drive. More than 7,500 items were received by our pantry for this drive. Items were counted, shelved and crated by volunteers and friends from the pantry.

This drive is critical to our being able to help feed the growing number of families in our community who find themselves needing our assistance. We are so thankful for the help that's provided every year. Many thanks to each family that placed items by their mailboxes for the food drive.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all the other churches, schools and organizations that have brought in great quantities of food this year.

Please continue to support local pantries during the coming year.
