Loud argument at Granite City motel leads to drug charges

News-DemocratMay 19, 2014

A domestic dispute at a rural Granite City motel led to a woman being charged with felony drug possession.

Anna M. Mollet, 38, was involved in a loud argument at about 8 p.m. Sunday with a man described as her boyfriend, and the Madison County Sheriff's Department was called to break things up.

Mollet agreed to leave to diffuse the situation but came back 30 minutes later and rekindled the argument.

Mollet was then arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and her purse was searched as she was taken in to custody, allegedly revealing four alprazolam tablets for which she did not have a prescription.

Mollet was taken to the Madison County Jail and held on $15,000 bail.
