A public hearing on the proposed Belleville comprehensive plan is scheduled for Wednesday.

The plan, titled "Envision Belleville 2035," will include findings and recommendations focusing on the city's growth and development over a 20-year period.

The hearing will take place at a Planning Commission meeting set for 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 101 S. Illinois St.

After the hearing, Planning Commission members will discuss the comprehensive plan and vote on recommending the plan to the City Council.

Another public hearing will be scheduled at a City Council meeting in June before the full council votes on the plan.
