Breese grade school teachers agree to pay freeze

News-DemocratMay 22, 2014

Breese Elementary District 12 teachers have approved a one-year contract with the school district. Under the agreement, 40 teachers represented by Elementary District 12 Educational Association will be taking a hard freeze, which means no salary increases or raises based on longevity. The administration has agreed to the same freeze as well.

The contract, which goes into effect July 1, includes no changes in benefits including health, dental and medial coverage.

Breese Elementary District 12 has 620 students in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth grade at two locations -- Breese Grade School and Beckemeyer Grade School.
