Thunderstorms, highs in mid-80s expected this week

Thunderstorms are likely Tuesday in the metro-east, especially in the middle part of the day, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of storms with the most likely chance or rain coming between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The high temperature Tuesday is expected to reach 84 degrees.

There is a 40 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms Tuesday evening, when the low will be 65.

On Wednesday, there is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms during the daytime hours with a high of 84. The chance of thunderstorms will drop to 30 percent overnight with a low of 65.

On Thursday, there is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day with a high of 84. On Thursday night, the chance of rain drops to 20 percent with a low of 67.
