TOCO collecting donations for Backpacks for the Homeless project

June 3, 2014

Tapestry of Community Offerings (TOCO) in Belleville is collecting backpacks, bags that zip and other items that will be distributed to the homeless.

Examples of other items you can donate to the cause include toiletries, easy-access snacks, bottled water, toothbrushes, razors, soap, toilet paper and similar goods that will fit in backpacks.

You can drop off your donations for the Backpacks for the Homeless project from 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday or Saturday, or at 3 p.m. Sunday, at TOCO, 825 W. Main St., Belleville. Please make sure you say that your donations are for the backpacks project.

Volunteers will be packing up the backpacks at 3 p.m. Sunday for distribution the following week.
