Barbecue chefs square off at Jakey in June cookoff

There's no place like Jakey in June.

St. Jacob is the place to be Friday through Sunday when barbecue teams cook and sell their best stuff while there's entertainment going on all around them at 108 N. Douglas St..

The action starts at 6 p.m. Friday, 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.

On Friday, the Budweiser Clydesdales will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. The Zydeco Crawdaddys will perform from 6 to 11 p.m.

On Saturday, the Kids-Q barbecue cookoff starts at 4:30 p.m. The Jason David Cooper Band plays from 6 to 11. There's a Wine & Beer Garden Saturday.

The barbecue judging starts at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
