— A suspect has been charged in a string of burglaries at Farm Fresh stores.

Collinsville police have been investigating a burglary at the Collinsville Farm Fresh store on May 15, in which a man entered the store office and took a bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

The investigation showed a man who matched that description burglarizing other Farm Fresh stores in the same manner, according to Lt. Todd Link of the Collinsville Police Department.

On Thursday, the Madison County State's Attorney's office charged Orlando M. Naylor, 44, of St. Louis with two counts of Class 2 burglary. He is accused of burglarizing the Farm Fresh stores in Collinsville on May 15 and in Edwardsville on May 24, according to Collinsville Police.

Police confirmed that Naylor is in custody at the St. Genevieve County, Mo., Jail, where he faces further theft charges. Once those charges are resolved, they said, he will be tried in Madison County.

Naylor's bail in Madison County was set at $100,000.
