Another driver escapes Brooklyn police

Brooklyn police are looking for a suspect who was able to escape officers following a car pursuit Wednesday.

Police say an officer tried to pull a Chevrolet Monte Carlo over for a traffic stop Wednesday morning. The driver refused to stop and instead fled toward Missouri. Assisting officers threw spike strips onto the road, flattening the suspect's tires and causing him to abandon the car on the McKinley Bridge.

He fled on foot, jumping off the bridge on the Missouri side.

The suspect is at least the fourth to get away from Brooklyn Police Department officers since the beginning of May. But police believe they know the suspect's identity and are searching for him.
