Belle-Clair will honor former voice of track

Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville on Friday will showcase the 100-lap TTG 100 race in honor of longtime track announcer Mike Meurer for UMP Modifieds paying $1,500 to the winner.

Mark Voigt grabbed the lead from Mike Schulte on Lap 17 and never looked back last Friday as Voigt went on to win the UMP Late Model feature at Belle-Clair Speedway.

Matt Weidner was second and Schulte was third.

Rusty Griffaw held off Brian Bielong to win the UMP Modifieds feature.

Tri-City Speedway

St. Jacob's Tim Manville won the UMP Late Model main event last Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach and Trenton's Michael Kloos was third. Jim Shereck took second place.

Rick Conoyer won the UMP Modifieds feature and Aaron Heck from Mount Vernon won the UMP Pro Crate Late Model feature. Tony Walker won the Street Stocks feature.

On June 20, Tri-City will be the ninth stop on NAPA Know-How/UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals "The Hell Tour" paying $10,000 to win for UMP Late Models and $1,000 for UMP Modifieds.

Highland Speedway

There is no racing at Highland Speedway this weekend.

Racing returns June 21 with the Grapperhaus Night of Destruction, which features a regular racing program plus a rollover contest and the KidsModz division.
