Collinsville Police have arrested three people who face felony disorderly conduct charges following a home invasion hoax.

The false alarm stems from a 911 emergency call about 2 a.m. Friday from a home in the 1100 block of Hampstead Court in Collinsville. The caller told Collinsville Police that a woman was being dragged against her will from her house by men dressed in all black and wearing masks.

Police from Collinsville, Caseyville, Maryville, Madison County Sheriff's Department and Illinois State Police responded to the scene within minutes and arrested the three adults. Shortly thereafter, the police officers who had arrived at the scene discovered that the incident was an elaborate hoax.

No injuries were reported, but a Madison County Sheriff's deputy suffered a slight injury while responding to the call.
